Concepts
This client asked for a typographical logo, that looked mean and raw. I started with some basic concepts, scanned them, and started developing them digitally, once the client picked a couple of my designs.
Development
The client let me know that they were particularly font of the colours black and red for this project; red specifically for the text. They also suggested blood-like splatters. I took both of these things into consideration when refining the concepts, and experimented with fonts as well as hand-lettering. I focused on using aggressive, graffiti-like styles to suit the requirements.
Colour Combinations
Once the client had settled on a specific design, I did some further experimentation with colour combinations, working around the brief; just to explore the effects. The client eventually decided on the original red on black, which I backed fully.
